GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)
Please be informed that, pursuant to art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 (hereafter, “GDPR”), any personal data collected from you shall be processed based on the principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency and protecting your confidentiality and your rights;
Pursuant to art. 13 of GDPR, we inform you about the following aspects of the processing of personal data concerning you:
DATA CONTROLLER
DANUBIUS UNIVERSITY private education institution, with headquarters in Galați, bld. Galați no. 3, postal code 800654, represented by Rector Mr. Wiliam B. Harvey/ Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Andy Corneliu Pușcă, acts as the controller of your personal data.
THE TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The following categories of personal data are required in order to register and participate in the admission examination:
• Personal identifiers: contacts and characteristics (name and contact details, personal identification number, date and place of birth, email address, specialization / curriculum, form of education, study papers)
• Bank details - in case of payment of tuition / examination fees
• Data on school performance (grade / score obtained)
• Photographs - for the issuance of study documents/from CurriculumVitae
PURPOSES AND GROUNDS OF PROCESSING
Your registration and participation in the exam creates legal relations between you and data controller.
(i) Consequently, in order to execute the rights and obligations between the parties (registration for the exam/organizing the admision contest) it is necessary to process your personal data - art. 6 para.1 lit. b GDPR. . Danubius University, as data controller, also processes your personal data in order to fulfill the legal requirements established by the normative acts in force regarding the organization of university studies, the content and format of the study documents:
(ii) Law no.1 / 2011 on national education;
(iii) Law no. 288/2004 on the organization of university studies;
(iv) Order no. 6102/2016 for the approval of the Methodology - framework regarding the organization of the admission in the cycles of undergraduate, master and doctoral studies;
(v) Government Decision no. 607/2014 regarding the approval of the content and format of the study documents that will be issued to the graduates of the first cycle - undergraduate university studies;
(vi) Government Decision no. 728/2016 regarding the approval of the content and format of the study documents that will be issued to the graduates of the second cycle - master's degree studies and to the graduates of the first and second cycle of university studies offered in a merger;
(vii) Ministerial Order no. 3,850 of May 2, 2017 for the approval of the Framework Methodology for the organization of psycho-pedagogical training programs through the specialized departments within the accredited higher education institutions in order to certify the competencies for the teaching profession
(viii) Ministerial Order no. 5745 / 13.09.2012 on the approval of the Framework Methodology for organizing psycho-pedagogical training programs in order to certify the competencies for the teaching profession through DPPD (with subsequent amendments and completions).
(ix) Ministerial Order no. 4316/2008 regarding the approval of the Psychopedagogical Studies Program in view of the certification for the teaching profession through the Department for the training of the teaching staff;
DATA TRANSFER
Your personal data will not be transferred or disclosed to third parties except as established by law (eg Ministry of Education). We inform you that we apply technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your data.
DATA STORAGE DURATION
Your personal data will be actively processed for a maximum period of 3 years from the date of the end of examination and after this period your data will be processed in the manner of storage (archiving) in accordance with the legal provisions in force. In cases where it is necessary to store your personal data on the basis of an express legal provision, we may continue to store your data for the duration provided by those legal provisions.
YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS
You may at any time exercise the following rights within the limits and subject to the conditions established by the law applicable to the processing of personal data:
-The right to information
-The right of access to data
-The right to request rectification of data
-The right to object to data processing
-The right to request the restriction
-The right to request the deletion of data
-The right to portability
The right to withdraw your consent at any time for processing that is based on this legal basis. The lawfulness of data processing up to the time of withdrawal is not affected.
You may exercise any of the above rights by submitting a written request to the contact details listed below and we will review and respond to your request within 30 calendar days or, if your request requires a more complex analysis, to a within 60 calendar days, in which case we will inform you accordingly of the reasons for the extension.
If you are convinced that your personal data is being processed incorrectly and do not comply with legal requirements, you can file a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (www.dataprotection.ro).
